One of my favorite things to do is browse the seasonal holiday sections at my local Target. I recently came across a package of Valentine’s Day hot chocolate stirrers and thought…I could do that! I bought the cutest conversation heart silicone mold last year and knew it would be just perfect. Wooden spoons probably would have worked better but I had these ginormous popsicle sticks from another craft so I just decided to use them.
SUPPLIES NEEDED:
- meltable chocolates or candies (I love to use Ghirardelli)
- popsicle sticks (or wooden spoons)
- silicone mold of your choosing
- heart marshmallows, strawberries or candy of your choice
Melt your chocolate candies in the microwave for approx 30 seconds, stir and microwave again in 15 second intervals until completely melted. Watch it carefully so as to not burn it. Spoon the melted chocolate into your mold and immediately put in the fridge for 1-2 minutes. Insert popsicle sticks and gently place toppings in front of them. Carefully put the mold back in the refrigerator for approx 5-10 more minutes.
Enjoy your hot chocolate stirrers in your hot chocolate or even your morning coffee for a treat!
